Adventures in Nakey-Town

My two-year old has a sense of urgency about with he goes about all tasks. Sometimes this leads to melt-downs when I can't meet his immediate needs because I'm, you know, driving or using the restroom or feeding Brooklyn. Sometimes this leads to nekkid note-taking.

I'm still here. I have to admit that this parenting-thing is easier the second time around. Not because it's easy, it's not, but more because I know what the hell to expect and I didn't have much free time to myself with a 2 year-old running around anyway. So there's that. Turns out that Miss B doesn't fancy being put down in the evenings and I will ALWAYS choose napping in the afternoons over computer time, so that leaves precious little time for blogging. I signed up for the mobile blogging, but honestly, I have zero idea how to make that work and it seems far too much effort. Laziness. I readily accept the title.

Now for the important stuff: how much do Miss B and Ell-man look alike? It's basically ridiculous.

Do you see it?

Did I Mention. . .

that I'm not the hugest fan of the newborn stage? Don't get me wrong--I love my wee one, but the not sleeping and constant guesswork of what's happening, combined with very little interaction does not make my cup runneth over. Honestly, I am enjoying it more this time around, due in part to a) a constant stream of anti-anxiety meds, b) a more laid-back baby and c) comprehending that this stage passes quickly and she won't want to cuddle forever. Still. Sleeping for more than 3-hour stretches sounds amazing. Or even a real smile as reward for my sleeplessness would go a long way. I have a feeling the smile is coming before the sleep-thing. . .
